June (Xuejun) Kong
M.D., President

Dr. Kong is a Faculty Physician and Researcher at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, founder and president of American Chinese Medical Exchange Society (ACMES). Her research interests focus on autism and integrative medicine; She founded “Biomedical Solution of Autism”, “Institute to Cure Autism”, and co-founded “Body & Brain Resilience Center, Autism family clinic”. She is a principal investigator and international speaker. She organized many medical conference nationally and internationally and medical exchange programs between USA and China.She serves a chair of American-Chinese Autism International Forum Steering Committee. She is also founder and Editor-in-Chief of “North American Journal of Medicine & Science” and “North American Journal of Medicine & Health”.

Lucy Chen
MD, Vice President

Associate Professor, Department of Anesthesia Critical Care and Pain Medicine MGH, Harvard Medical School, Dr. Chen is a faculty member of Harvard Medical School and a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist. She has been an attending physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) for over a decade. Dr. Chen is a Principle Investigator and Co-investigator on several NIH RO1 grants to study the role of alternative medicine in pain management, opioid analgesia and opioid induced hyperalgesia. She served as the director of Pediatric Pain Service of the MGH Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine. Dr. Chen currently is the director of Resident Education Program and Quality and Assurance Committee of the MGH Center for Pain Medicine.  In years, she has served as grant reviewer for NIH study section and journal reviewer for many medical journals. As a Vice president of  “American Chinese Medical Exchange Society”, Dr. Chen actively involved as executive committee member in annual meeting and other events planning, fund-raising and as a speaker for medical science conference and public health education. As an Associate Chief Editor for “North American Journal of Medicine and Health” and a section editor for “North American Journal of Medicine and Science”, Dr. Chen makes her contribution with the knowledge and expertise to these two medical publications in order to promote global health.

Yiqing Song
MD, ScD, Vice President

Dr. Song is a Professor of Epidemiology, Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health, and was Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Associate Epidemiologist of the Division of Preventive Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He received his Bachelor of Medicine degree in 1993 from Beijing Medical University and then finished his 5-year residency training in Pediatrics at the Third Teaching Hospital of Beijing Medical University. In 2000, Dr. Song earned a Master degree in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin and obtained his Doctor of Science (ScD) degree in Epidemiology and Nutrition from Harvard School of Public Health in 2005. Currently, Dr. Song is an epidemiologist with extensive experience in the evaluation of nutritional, biochemical, and genetic markers as predictors of chronic disease outcomes in several large cohort studies such as the Women’s Health Study (WHS), Physicians’ Health Study (PHS), and the Women’s Health Initiative-Observational Study (WHI-OS). Currently, Dr. Song is the Principal Investigator of an NHLBI-funded R01 studying “Racial/ethnic differences in 25(OH)D and PTH levels and CVD among American white and Black women and  a NIDDK-funded R01 investigating diabetes prevention in the Vitamin D and OmegA-3 Trial (VITAL) trial. Dr. Song is board member and VP of ACMES, he is an associate editor of NAJMS and NAJMH.

Ning Zhou

Dr. Liu is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. He was a physician in China, major in integrative medicine and he also has PhD degree. He has his private clinical practice also at The Marino Center at Cambridge. Dr. Liu has be a research fellow at MGH since 1995. His research interest has been focused on Inflammation and Cancer with integrative approaches.

Frank Chen
MD, PhD, MBA

Dr. Chen received his MD degree from Beijing Medical University and PhD degree from Mt. Sinai Medical Center, followed by post-doctoral research training at Harvard University, pathology residency training at Tufts Medical Center and molecular cytopathology training at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Currently, he is Medical Director of Cytopathology, Director of Cytopathology Education and Residency Research, Associate Professor and Staff Pathologist at State University of New York at Buffalo. He co-authored 37 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 41 posters/oral presentations at national and international scientific meetings. Recently, he obtained healthcare MBA degree from George Washington University after studying for 4 years in his spare time. Dr. Chen is a board member of ACMES and has worked as co-acting chief editor for several issues of North American Journal of Medicine & Science.

Keqin Hu
MD., Vice President

Dr. Hu is the Director of Hepatology Services, Professor of Clinical Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology , University of California, Irvine Medical Center. Dr.Hu is an expert in chronic liver disease, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and liver cancer. He is a national and international speaker, and principal investigator of many liver projects. He serves as the acting chief editor for the special hepatitis issue of North American Journal of Medicine & Science; he is also a vice president of ACMES.

Weigen Li
MD, PhD, Vice President

Dr. Li is an Attending Physician of Internal Medicine at Jordan Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center . He was graduated from Xuzhou Medical College in 1985, completed his Cardiology training in the Capital Medical University in 1991 and then finished his Ph.D training at Beijing Medical University in 1994. He spent two years at Fukuoka University as visiting scholar in Japan. Subsequently he went to University of Iowa as postdoctoral fellow and then research investigator and funded by American Heart Association as a scientist. He has published more than 30 original articles including Circulation, Journal of Biological Chemistry, and Circulation Research. He completed his internal medicine residency in New York Medical College and board certified in 2006. Dr.Li serves a vice president of ACMES.

Gary Lu
MD, PhD

Dr. Lu is the Health Event coordinator of BICCC, Senior Technology Manager, Dassault Systems, and Visiting Professor, College of Acupuncture Orthopedics, Hubei University of Chinese Medicine, Visiting Professor, College of Medical Information Engineering, Hubei University of Chinese Medicine, Visiting Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Dr. Lu is also Secretary General of ACMES and Specialty editor for NAJMS, in charge of Integrative Medicine forum organization and related medical exchange programs, also IT consultant for ACMES websites.
